Socle has branch locations in Taipei, Shanghai, and Shenzhen (China). In June 2008, Socle introduced one of the world’s top semiconductor foundries, Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Limited, as a strategic investor and major shareholder to enlarge Socle's service scopes in SoC platform, SoC implementation, IP offerings, and turnkey service. Since 2004, Socle has been an ARM11MP, ARM1176, ARM926EJ, and ARM7EJ IP source licensee of ARM Limited. Socle provides ARM SoC total solutions to meet customer application needs in MID, multimedia handheld communication, integrated connection, consumer electronics, and storage matters. In 2014, Socle was acquired by Foxconn Technology Group (Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd). Socle utilizes its expertise in semiconductor technology to manage semiconductor solutions within Foxconn which includes selling IC products to system users and handling the technical procurement of semiconductors. Socle also collaborates with other teams within Foxconn on the semiconductor portions of important projects.
